Snapshots

This past weekend was just plain CRAZYYYYYYYY!!! Our youth group hosted a coffeehouse event to raise funds for summer missions. The theme was CH_RCH, All We Need is U. Cute right?! We stayed up until 6AM baking cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, and brownies. After all this baking, I don't think I'll be touching an oven anytime soon! We couldn't find lollipop sticks anywhere, so we just used popsicle sticks instead. It turned out really cute!

Every weekend feels like a week for me. In order to wind down, I'll either have a marathon of Korean dramas or some cooking time. I recently made 호박죽 (Korean pumpkin porridge). I had that for breakfast along with a grapefruit and some OJ. YUUMM!! I used my grandma's recipe which is similar to the one I saw on a Week of Menus.

Oh, how I wish I could just rest for a week after a weekend of ministry, but the reality is that there is so much schoolwork to be done! Lord willing, it will get done! My planner is my enemy/friend. It keeps me in check but also reminds me that I don't have enough time to do all that I need to do :(

The weather here hasn't been that cold so I've been feeling very springy these days. My wardrobe has been filled with more color than before. If you know me, you know that I like my neutrals like beige, black and grey. But I really do like my pop of color these days. I've recently been going on a shopping spree and I find myself gravitating towards color rather than black!

Okay! Got to go back to reading/studying. See ya'll soon!

A Tea Party Celebration

HELLO!!!! I've just started my second semester at Westminster and a youth group ministry, so my plate is going to be really full! I'll definitely be updating on those two things later. But anyways, tomorrow is my 24th birthday, but I feel like my birthday has passed because of all the celebrating I did at home.

Last year, my BFFs and I went on a picnic in San Diego and then went to go watch a play based on C.S. Lewis. This year, I wanted it even more low key than last year and local. So I invited the best friends over for some brunch and quality time.

I created menus for our brunch from Wedding Chicks. The menu consisted of berry parfaits, garden omelette, creme brûlée french toast from Smitten Kitchen, and mimosas to accompany our platters and chatters.

Cheers!
We changed out of our clothes into pajamas and started the competitions. We played Taboo, yoot 윳노리 (a traditional Korean game), and Cranium.
Joan and I were the winners for the second time! Sorry Jane and Jess! Better luck next time! Afterwards we took the game money and ate at Pieology. I hate to admit it, but I miss Pieology (you win Jane). I had a great time relaxing with the best friends all day. Can't wait til next year!!!
