food coma

This is what happens when you have food coma in class! Especially when you're sitting in the front row... no good! Do you like my drawing of me sleeping in class? LOL!!! And can you tell I was especially excited for break time :) While we're on the subject of taking notes or lack thereof. To keep myself awake in class, I like to doodle. On every single page of my notes, you will find a clock. It informs me how much longer I have to stay awake.
Lesson learned: DO NOT eat before class! Or just find a better way of falling asleep in class HAHA! See you next time!

Room 301

Hello again! I've been holding off on a room tour because it just didn't seem like my room yet. But after a few days of adding pictures and decorations, it finally feels like home :) The girls' dorm room is on the third floor of the Machen building. This building is over 200 years old so there are no elevators, just good old stairs.
This is the hallway
Welcome to my room!
My side of the room
I bought these little shelves at Target. They add a nice touch to the room. Can you spot Lil' Homie?
Pictures of loved ones :)
El bano
Do you like my obnoxious hot pink backpack? And yes, I do wear it to school! No shame!
My closet
This is my favorite part of the room, the chandelier. I just like it.
We have a separate study room on the same floor. Pretty nice right?
This is my study area. I have yet to study here though LOL
My library is a bit empty but I'm sure it'll get filled over the next semesters.
This is our living room
The End! I hope you enjoyed a peek into my life here. Classes have officially started this week. It's been really interesting and I actually enjoy school (it's only been 4 days so far LOL). But in all seriousness, I've been praying for a joy and desire to study. I understand that my time here isn't useless, but God-ordained. So I really want to get the most of this opportunity God has given me. To be honest, my attitude, so far, hasn't been like this. There have been lots of days crying and questioning why I'm here. It really is a daily struggle to be joyful and thankful for this season of my life. But God is good and patient with me. And his mercies are new every morning. :)

Okay, before I go. I wanted to share this story with you..of this hideous bruise! My roommates tried to teach me how to ride a bike. In the process, I ended with bruises all over my legs and butt! AND I still don't know how to ride one. MAJOR FAIL! Bikes and I are not destined to be :( Hope you enjoyed this post! See ya'll later!

Alive and Well

HALLOOO!!! I am alive and well in Philadelphia. Did you know that only people from Philadelphia are allowed to call it "Philly"? Who knew! Anyways, I am slowly adjusting to my new life here in Philadelphia and as a seminary student. I was homesick for the first couple of days and then physically sick, but overall I'm really excited to be here. I'm actually super excited to start classes but we'll see how long that lasts LOL. I will do a room tour and campus tour soooooonnn. But until then, I leave you with one of the many things in my room. Meet my super cute night light, Lil' Homie! HAHA!!! See you next time!
